VAL PROKURAT, MD, DO
With more than 12 years of experience in robotic surgery and more than 25 in general and bariatric surgery, Dr. Prokurat (or Dr. P. as his patients call him) has performed thousands of weight loss surgery procedures. He has achieved a designation as a Surgeon of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). His goal of helping patients improve their health through weight loss surgery and personalized care plans is one of the founding principles of his practice.
MICHAEL KAMMERER, MD, FACS
Michael Kammerer is a board-certified, fellowship-trained surgeon, specializing in minimally invasive bariatric surgery. Following his surgical training, Dr. Kammerer spent five years as a full-time faculty member at Thomas Jefferson University where he was actively involved in bariatric research and teaching medical students, surgical residents, and surgical fellows. He then left academia to pursue his passion for surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and a member of the Society of Advanced Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons and the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
