Quality and safety are essential to deliver excellent healthcare. Quality measures help us to quantify healthcare processes, outcomes, patient perceptions, and organizational structure that are associated with the ability to provide high-quality healthcare and ensure patient safety. The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade gives a letter grade A through F, based on a voluntary survey on safety, quality, and resource use completed by thousands of hospitals annually.
As the graph illustrates, our hospital’s current safety profile is not accurately reflected in a middle-of-the-road mark. In fact, we have zero Stage 3 pressure injuries (the single item disproportionately affecting our grade the most) in 2023.
The following video details our continuous commitment to quality and safety measures and the results of our quality improvement efforts to date.
