Michael Greller, MD, CPE, FAAOS, has been elected to a two-year term as chief of staff by the medical-dental staff of CentraState Medical Center.
Dr. Greller, a board-certified, sports medicine fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, was elevated from assistant chief of staff. He is a member of the CentraState Healthcare System’s Board of Trustees and has been a member of the CentraState Medical Center staff since 2000. Dr. Greller has served as chairman of Credentials and vice chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. He is also the assistant director of the Cartilage Restoration Center of NJ and a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, as well as the president of Advanced Orthopedics and Sports Medicine Institute in Freehold.
Dr. Greller earned his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York in 1994. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery in 1999 at the Hospital for Joint Diseases Orthopedic Institute- NYU Medical Center in New York. In 2000, he completed a fellowship in sports medicine at Temple University in Philadelphia, and will finish his MBA degree at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management this summer.
Also elected to two-year terms are board-certified family physicians Maher Youssef, MD, FACP, assistant chief of staff, and Kenneth Eng, DO, secretary-treasurer.
CentraState Healthcare System is a nonprofit community health organization consisting of an acute-care hospital, a health and wellness campus, three senior living communities, a Family Medicine Residency Program, and a charitable foundation. CentraState’s teaching program is sponsored by Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
