High ratings for care and service

Nothing means more to us than the way people feel about the care they receive at CentraState. That’s why we're feeling good about the lastest results from Press Ganey, the healthcare industry’s leading evaluator of patient satisfaction. Patients ranked CentraState Medical Center in the top 10 percent of hospitals regionally and nationally in emergency services (99th percentile) and overall outpatient services (91st percentile). Also scoring well were overall inpatient services (89th percentile) and ambulatory surgery (86th percentile).

We are also pleased with findings from the recently released Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HCAHPS)—the first national report of patients’ perceptions of their hospital experience. Our scores for nurse and physician communication with patients and our overall rating by patients exceed both the state and national averages, while our scores for staff responsiveness, pain management, cleanliness, quietness and patient willingness to recommend the hospital exceed the state average.

The HCAHPS data is another tool for measuring and refining our ongoing quality improvement efforts. Click here for details of the results. For more information on the HCAHPS survey, visit the HCAHPS Web site at www.hcahpsonline.org/.
